About
Expanded Horizons
Workplaces across the human-services and community-services sectors are powered by talented, passionate, values-driven people who pour their hearts into serving others and their communities. Yet with limited resources and relentless demands, these professionals often stretch themselves too thin. The result can be blurred boundaries, reactive decision-making, burnout, and high turnover—even among the most dedicated teams.
I know this intimately because I lived it. After more than two decades in education—including years as a secondary school principal—a very public human rights crisis at my school led to months of community upheaval. Despite my best efforts, I burned out and left a career that I loved, years ahead of schedule. That painful chapter became an unexpected turning point.
Through my own journey of reinvention, I discovered the transformative power of values-based decision-making and intentional living. I went back to school, this time as a student, became an ICF-certified coach, and founded Expanded Horizons with a clear mission: to help leaders and professionals in service-oriented fields build sustainable, meaningful work and lives—making intentional choices that honour who they are, opening up new possibilities for how they lead and live without sacrificing themselves in the process.
Today, Expanded Horizons partners with individuals, teams, and organizations across education, healthcare, non-profits, and social services to invest in their greatest asset—their people. We specialize in two core areas: leadership development, and retirement transition coaching. Through ICF-certified coaching, facilitated workshops, and strategic consulting, we provide practical tools and frameworks that empower people to make values-driven decisions and create environments—at work and in life—where both people and purpose thrive.
Meredith Cammisuli spent more than two decades as a leader in education—included many years as a high school principal and vice-principal— and the non-profit sector before becoming an ICF-certified coach, learning specialist, and facilitator. She understands firsthand the unique challenges facing leaders and professionals in service-oriented fields, and partners with individuals and organizations to build intentional, aligned, and sustainable work and lives.
